My first trip to Cherating... Julie has been with her school friends eons ago though...
Anyways... it was a Public Holiday... so we decided to take the drive to Cherating... u could say the distance was like driving from KL to Klang... within 30-40 mins and we had arrived... talk about near.
First impressions... huh? what's so great... like Teluk Chempedak in Kuantan only... maybe because it was low tide and the sea was darn far off... plus look! big waves!... definately couldn't swim during moonsoon time.
Early that morning, the sky were all dark and gloomy and we thought oh NO!... all our plans for naught...but we decided... ahh... just go lah... I think God knew better and man... all i can say is, it was super windy and cloudy so walking the beach was a totally enjoyable time... minus the heat! Thank You GOD!
The beach was clean... and had tons of small small crabs... and interestingly EMPTY! no one at all... maybe we came too early or something... we had the beach totally to ourselves...
One portion of the beach was filled with these... the tell tale signs of "treasure" lying under the sand...
Phoebe and Hannah enjoyed it... walking on the beach collecting wierd flat shells and also us catching hermit crabs... Hannah even found a HUGE hard shelled la-la I think. Here are the interesting hermit crabs...
We later found the "Can't Forget" seafood restaurant nearby(recommended in another blog, for pictorial review go Here), We had the local "Chicken Meat" fish... very interesting... and veggies... the fish turned out very nice and HUGE... so after a very satisfied lunch we headed home... by this time the sun was up and was really getting warm...
