Nahh... we didn't jump... it was closed by the time we arrived...
Heh, not to say if it was opened, we would have jumped... Did you know the Bungy rope is actually just spun rubber bands?... you are literally hanging for dear life on rubberbands!
But that said... Queenstown is home to the first ever Bungy platform... and it's over river Kawarau, on a Historical Bridge too... This 43m high jump is the worlds first & original Bungy and a jump here will set u back Nz$195 for 1 jump , 1 T-shirt & 1 DVD recording of your leap!
Even though we didn't jump, the place is built very nicely for excellent views of the bridge, the jump platform and the gorge!... and if you have more time, crossing the bridge u can go for a nature walk in a protected reserve.
Here's your expected view from the platform looking down... :p
Phoebe was doing some hanging exercise too... maybe she has the courage to jump... err but i don't think i will let her... it's a noncensical risk!
