Keh... on one of the days in Akaroa... we went to this rustic garden in Akaroa. It really is a niche bed & breakfast for new/young newlyweds for a romantic romp, cuz they have several huts to rent out... and its really cozy, romantic, back to nature kind of retreat... super carefree host, in a very laid back non intrusive nature...
But we went there to look and wander around the gardens... Entrance to the place was NZ$10 per adult which included a refreshing drink.
Julie and I loved the place... for its rough / back to nature style and really rustic atmosphere... Julies dad and sis-in-law didn't quite take to it... but nevertheless... it was beautiful... the gardens all filled with wild flowers and many other kinds of fauna...
We also saw a huge gigantic fern... donno what type BUT it was HUGE...
The place was recommended by Lonely Planet for its Berry juice, which we ordered one for Hannah & Phoebe to enjoy...
The other drink we took was this heavenly iced latte topped with ice cream, really really good... IMO way better then the Raspberry juice which was too sweet... The drinks came strewn with lots of flowers... heh there was even a flower in the drink!
Tree Crop Farm is trully a place for couples, as the host even calls her 4 huts, "love huts"... keh... with outdoor candlelit bathtubs - heated via wood fire, outdoor toilets, hammocks ... and the plushy bed... lined with thick velvet and such... :p
Oh also the whole lobby/dining area is filled with quotes and "pearls of wisdom"... all written in chalk, by their visitors and guests... all written over the walls, rafters and even the roof!... u could spend half the day reading all of them...
